Snore and Sleep Apnea
Solutions

We will visually inspect your mouth and inquire about your medical history. It is important that we examine your neck area for inflammation because this could indicate health problems like oral cancer. Our process is thorough because we want you to be at your healthiest while making sure nothing is missed. Questions before an oral exam will be more detailed the first time around because we are getting to know you as a patient.

Tongue
Retaining

Keeps your airways open by holding your tongue in the correct position. This retaining can sometimes requiring periodic adjustment or replacement so come back to our office and our team at Stoney Trail Dental will happily adjust it for you.

Mandibular Advancement

A sports mouthguard that forces your lower jaw partially forward and down, aiding in keeping your airway open to prevent breathing issues.

Additional Care at Your Convenience

Snoring is more common in men than women and occurs when the flow of air from your mouth or nose to your lungs creates a vibration of your throat tissues while asleep. This issue is caused because the muscles at the back roof of your mouth, tongue and throat are too calm.

Let Us
Help You with The Sleep Apnea or Snore Issues

Sleep apnea can occur if you have a problem with your jawbone or large tonsils. Sleep apnea is a severe condition that we want you to be cognitive of. We can give you immediate assistance. Let us help you halt sleep apnea.

As with snoring, sleep apnea happens when your throat muscles and tongue are too relaxed during sleep causing blocked or narrow airways. While more likely to occur in overweight people, those that sleep on their back or consume alcohol before bed, it is something we want you to be fully aware of. Sleep apnea can lend itself to further negative situations.
